Fourth International Composition Competition open for entries from composers

NEW YORK— The National Music and Global Culture Society (NMGCS), led by Dr. Nargiz Aliyarova, announced that it has opened its registration for the organization’s fourth International Composition Competition.

The competition currently follows a unique format, challenging composers to write original pieces inspired by ten pre-selected Azerbaijani folk songs. This allows artists to bend tradition with innovation and promotes a vibrant exchange of musical ideas across cultures.

Winners will receive cash prizes and the opportunity to have their compositions performed at Lincoln Center in New York and the Hajibeyli International Festival in Baku. Judges’ choices of the most outstanding works will be published and cataloged in the Library of Congress.
