Salem man injured after crashing motorcycle

SALEM – On Sunday, June 9th, at approximately 11:07 p.m., Washington County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to Cox Ferry Road, north of Nubian Road, on a motorcycle crash report. Also responding were the Washington County Ambulance Service, Salem Fire Department, and officers from the Salem Police Department.

At the scene, a 2003 Harley Davidson Glide was observed off the south side of the roadway. The motorcycle driver was identified as Jonathan Boulet, 50, of Salem.

Evidence at the scene indicated Boulet was traveling northwest on Cox Ferry Road when he crossed left of center, ran off the left-hand side of the roadway, and was ejected from the motorcycle. Boulet was not wearing a helmet.

Boulet was flown from the scene by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Lieutenant Lucas Gray is the investigating officer and was assisted by Deputy Maxwell Mitchell and Salem Police Officers Dylan England and Owen Bowers.
