Daviess County teen arrested on numerous charges, including attempted murder

DAVIESS CO. – Daviess County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 17-year-old Mateo Alejandro Apolinar on Thursday for charges of attempted murder.

Apolinar is also facing charges of robbery resulting in bodily injury, armed robbery, battery by means of a deadly weapon, robbery, and unlawful carrying of a handgun.

He is scheduled to appear in Daviess Superior Court on Monday for his initial hearing at 9:00 a.m. in Daviess County Superior Court. A public defender has been appointed to represent him.

Apolinar is being held in the Daviess County Security Center on a $500,000 cash bond with 10 percent surety.

On July 19th at 1:30 p.m., Judge Daniel Murrie will determine if Apolinar should be held in jail or a juvenile detention center.
