Deputy Trueblood initiated a traffic stop Dotts pulled over in a parking lot at Shawswick Elementary School.

Dotts was asked to step out of the vehicle and was detained on the warrant.

Deputies Andrew Tillett and Kenton Carter and his canine arrived to assist. The dog alerted police to drugs in the truck.

Police then noticed Dotts was limping, which he hadn’t done earlier. They also noticed a bulge on Dott’s right side. He had shoved a green flashlight into his pants. Officers retrieved the flashlight and opened it. Inside, police found a folded dollar bill containing 0.82 grams of crystal meth.

Indiana State Trooper Tyler Trueblood arrived and assisted in transporting Dotts to jail on a new charge of possession of meth.

Dotts’ parents arrived on the scene and took possession of this truck.
