(TUNNELTON) - Residents in the Tunnelton area were without power for about five hours overnight Monday.
Bedford police say 17-year-old Adam Brock, of Bedford, slid off the right side of Tunnelton Road near Brockside Drive crashing into an electrical pole causing the outage. Brock's van continued on, ending up hitting a tree.
Brock suffered shoulder pain and some facial bleeding. He was taken to the hospital to treat his wounds.
The power outage affected nearly 280 customers. It took workers about four hours to replace the broken pole.
