(BEDFORD) - A statewide Amber Alert was issued Wednesday afternoon, July 19th, for three-year-old Noah Lockwood who lives in Lawrence County.
His father, Steve Lockwood, called the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department saying that his wife Kimberly had taken off with his son. Lockwood had obtained a court order earlier for his wife offering to take her to the Bloomington Hospital Crisis Care Unit. When she learned of what he had done she took off with the baby. Lawrence County police contacted the Indiana State Police and they in turn issued the Amber Alert.
Police then learned the mother and child were in Washington at a city park. Police found the two just before 8-o'clock Wednesday evening, three hours after the Amber Alert was issued. Kimberly was taken to Bloomington. Noah has been returned to his father.
