(PETER’S SWITCH) - A Seymour woman is recovering from her injuries after hitting a moving train Wednesday near the small community of Peter’s Switch in Jackson County.
Thirty-three-year-old Jana Bruner was attempting to cross the railroad tracks when the sun hit her eyes. She stopped her vehicle on the tracks and the train hit the auto causing extensive damage. Bruner was transported to the hospital with a minor head injury.
Police cited Bruner for improper vehicle registration and disregarding a railway signal.
