(BLOOMINGTON) - The Monroe County Council has penned a letter to Indiana University officials stating its official displeasure with the school outsourcing jobs.
All seven members of the council have signed the document, which mirrors one sent to the school's board of trustees in December.
The paper says Monroe County employees should be the ones on the school's payroll and emphasizes I.U. has a responsibility to look out for the best interest of county residents.
The council says the school also risks harming town-grown relations if it continues to employ people outside of Bloomington.
