(SPENCER) - An Indiana State Police officer shot and killed a Spencer man who threatened the officer with a knife.
Police tried to pull over 28-year-old Gregory Bird on Indiana 46 Friday, September 10th, for improper passing and failure to yield the right of way.
Bird gave chase for about three miles, before stopping and approaching the police officer with a knife in his hand.
Trooper Ryan White ordered bird to stop. Bird did not stop and White shot him once in the chest. The officer was not injured in the incident.
