(BEDFORD) - Bedford police arrested a Mitchell man on other charges after he apparently stabbed a man in the chest.
Bedford Regional Medical Center doctors called the Bedford Police department after a 24-year-old Bloomington man showed up at their emergency room. The man had been stabbed in the chest and suffered a stab to the leg.
Police went to investigate at the home of 25-year-old Jeffery Gipson and discovered he had a warrant out for a petition to revoke. Gipson tried to flee from police and they charged him with resisting arrest by force.
The Bloomington man was later airlifted to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. No stabbing charges have been filed as of yet, however. The incident is in the initial stages.
