(BEDFORD) - There have been two reports of child neglect from the Bedford Police Department.
The first incident occurred when the Bedford Regional Medical Center called police about a female involved in a fight with her boyfriend. Police found 24-year-old Christopher Lindsey, of Mitchell, unconscious inside a vehicle in the BRMC parking lot with a 10-month-old baby in the car. After failing a field sobriety test, Lindsey was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and child endangerment.
Elsewhere, police were called to a report of a domestic fight. 36-year-old Steven Baker, of Bedford, was holding his 6-year-old son from seeing his mother. Baker also failed a field sobriety test and he was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and in violation of the open container law. Baker was also charged with child endangerment.
Both individuals were sent to the Lawrence County Security Center with their charges.
