(NASHVILLE) - More than 70 firefighters from three counties took three hours to bring a fire under control at the Season’s Hotel and Conference Center in Nashville yesterday.
State Fire Marshall Roger Johnson says Brown County volunteer fire fighters were assisted by fire fighters from Bartholomew and Monroe counties for a total of 12 fire departments.
Johnson credits the night manager, Zach Davis, and local police and sheriffs for getting 18 people out safely. No injuries were reported.
When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting about 75 feet into the sky. Johnson says two wings of the wood structure, on State Road 46 near Nashville, were destroyed.
