(SPRINGVILLE) - After trying to avoid hitting an on-coming auto, 17-year-old Brandon Holtsclaw, of Bedford, suffered a fracture to his head and complained of neck pain.
Police say Holtsclaw was rounding a curve on Popcorn Road when he swerved to avoid hitting another auto. Holtsclaw lost control of his vehicle, going off the road and hitting a tree.
Police say speed was a factor in the accident. Holtsclaw was taken by ambulance to the Bedford Regional Medical Center for treatment of a possible broken nose. Holtsclaw has also been cited for unsafe speed.
