(WEST BADEN) - Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for the armed robbery of the Springs Valley Bank and Trust in West Baden.
Police say 27-year-old Jason Scott Radcliff entered the bank on September 1st displaying a handgun. Radcliff demanded money from one of the tellers and ran off into the nearby woods with an undisclosed amount of money. Radcliff was found hiding in an abandoned building, but conflicting information allowed him to walk free.
Police continued the investigation and were able to link Radcliff to the crime. Police went looking for him and tracked him down in South Carolina. Radcliff was returned to Indiana and is now being held in the Orange County jail on a $75,000 cash bond.
If convicted, Radcliff could serve up to 20 years in prison and receive a maximum fine of $10,000.
