(BLOOMINGTON) - Duke Energy expects to restore power to all customers by this morning after Tuesday’s severe winter storm interrupted service to almost 50,000 customers, primarily in Bloomington and the South Central Indiana area.
About 3,200 customers were still out of service on Wednesday. Spokeswoman Angeline Protegere says crews have been moved in from other parts of the service area.
Duke Energy also is bringing in some help from other companies. Duke Energy reminds individuals that all downed power lines and any object touching a power line should be regarded as potentially energized and dangerous.
