(BLOOMINGTON) - An Indiana University-Bloomington employee is facing drug charges after an informant bought cocaine and marijuana from him.
25-year-old Amanual Girma worked at the Wright Quad C-Store, a campus convenience store. IU police sent an undercover informant to the store to pose as a customer. Over a period of several weeks, the informant was able to buy drugs from Girma.
After nabbing him, detectives discovered Girma was wanted on a warrant charging criminal deviate conduct. According to a probable-cause affidavit, Girma sexually assaulted a 20-year-old woman last July.
Bloomington Police detectives searched for Girma last year and never found him. He is now in the Monroe County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
