(COLUMBUS) - A jury has been seated to hear the case against 44-year-old Robert Bassett Junior., a convicted killer whose trial starts today for allegedly plotting to murder a deputy prosecutor.
The jury was chosen in Ripley County and will be brought to Columbus each day to hear the trial.
Bassett was convicted for the 1998 killings of a Seymour woman and three children. A conspiracy to commit murder charge was filed in 2005 after he allegedly contracted a cellmate to kill Kathleen Burns, Bartholomew County Chief Deputy Prosecutor.
