(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man has been arrested on a charge of false reporting after he fabricated a robbery.
38-year-old Edward Hall reported to police that he had forty dollars stolen from him in a motel parking lot.
Police have determined that Hall paid a friend forty dollars for oxycontin, which the man didn't have on him. When police responded to Hall's call and stopped the alleged robbery suspect, he was on his way to get the drug.
Since Hall was following his friend, officers were able to easily talk to Hall and take him into custody.
