(JACKSON COUNTY) - A North Vernon man whom was missing since late December has been found by a Lawrence and Jackson county search and rescue team.
36-year-old William Dean Jackson, II, was found by their search dog Maggie in the Muscatatuck River.
A credible source told police where to find the body. An autopsy was performed on Sunday and officials say Jackson died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Toxicology results are pending.
Police are questioning Robert Barker, who is already in the Jackson County Jail on an unrelated charge.
Police says Barker is the only person of interest in this case.
