(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University’s Kirkwood Observatory will be open to the public for free viewing of Saturn and other delights of the night sky beginning Wednesday.
If the sky becomes overcast the rain date will be March 28th. Hours for the event will be from 9:00PM to 11:00PM.
IU Department of Astronomy Chair Caty Pilachowski says the observatory will be open each Wednesday until November for public viewing through the 12-inch telescope.
No reservations are required, and admission is free.
The observatory is located on the Bloomington campus a short distance eat of the intersection of Fourth Street and Indiana Avenue.
