(BLOOMINGTON) - A Bloomington man is behind bars after police say he shot at them from 10 feet away.
27-year-old Leonard Splunge faces several charges including criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
Police say they were called to an apartment complex after hearing reports of shots fired. When one officer arrived he said a bullet whipped through the air and nearly hit him. That's when the officer saw Splunge dressed head to toe in all black.
After chasing him down and subduing him, police found a .40-caliber Glock handgun.
Splunge remains at the Monroe County Jail.
