(AVOCA) - A Springville child is in Riley Hospital after she was run over by the car she was in.
Police say 5-year-old Alaina Cobb was in an unattended vehicle when she turned on the keys that were in the ignition and she engaged what she thought was the brake.
Instead, it was the gear shift and she jumped from the rolling car and the left front tire rolled over her.
Cobb was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital and was later transported to Riley Hospital For Children in Indianapolis.
Cobb suffered internal injuries but doctors say she is in good condition following the accident.
