(BEDFORD) - Students and staff at Bedford’s Parkview Primary School are speaking with grief counselors as they cope with the death of eight-year old Emily Johnson.
Johnson was killed when the plane in which she was riding in was piloted into the side of a home near the Virgil I. Grissom Municipal Airport on Monday.
Parkview Principal Sari Wood says she remembers Johnson as a happy and open child.
Wood says parents did not keep their children away from school the day after the tragedy. She says she hopes parents think of the school as a second family for kids and hopes both students and employees speak to counselors if they'd like to mourn Johnson's loss.
