(BEDFORD) - A new TASC bus will be gracing the city streets of Bedford by next fall.
City Planning Director Myra Wilson, along with Columbus-based Administrative Resources association Executive Director Eric Frey, II, say the new 20-passenger bus will replace an older model bus that is costing the city too much upkeep.
The city will be responsible for 20% of the cost of the bus which will be around $47,000. Eighty-percent of that cost will be purchased with an Indiana Department of Transpiration grant from Indianapolis. Frey helped with writing the grant to obtain the extra money. Wilson says the new bus will be running sometime in September.
