(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University is making a bid to host a 2008 presidential debate.
IU is joining with the City of Bloomington, the Bloomington Economic Development Corporation and the Bloomington/Monroe County Convention & Visitors Bureau on the bid, which is scheduled to be submitted today.
Hosts for presidential debates must pay a $1.35 million dollar fee for costs, along with covering transportation and accommodations for commission staff.
