(MITCHELL) - Mitchell voters heard from the six mayoral candidates last night in a forum held by the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce.
About 75 people heard from Republican candidates Billy Carlisle, Barry Duncan and Dan Terrell as well as Democratic candidates incumbent Butch Chastain, James Brown and Jason Delaney.
Five questions were posed to each candidate including how they would improve city sewer and trash services, the sidewalks and streets and the police department. Questions about the economic development and an overall vision for Mitchell were also asked.
Each mayor hopeful presented to the public their views on how they would improve Mitchell if elected as mayor.
The Primary will be held on Tuesday, May 8th.
