(BIRDSEYE) - Residents were invited to meet the new red-tailed hawk at Patoka Lake over the weekend.
It was part of the Patoka Raptors Program at the Visitor's Center.
Patoka's naturalist, Maria Abel-Crecelius said the new hawk, which she believes to be about 10 months old, came to Patoka in December after being found along the side of a road near Anderson.
A hawk that previously lived at the visitor center died in April 2005.
