(BEDFORD) - Lawyers for the man accused of murder have had their request for a mistrial denied.
Gregory Nurrenberg is charged with beating Sherry Dickey of East Oolitic to death in May of last year.
Nurrenberg's lawyers argue their client does not have the mental capacity to stand trial. Detectives have testified during the trial they found bloody shoes and fingerprints inside Dickey's home which helped lead them to Nurrenberg.
The trial will resume on Monday. Nurrenberg is claiming not guilty by reason of insanity. A doctor will testify on the mental well-being of Nurrenberg before the jury begins deliberating.
