(BLOOMINGTON) - An historic building in Bloomington will be turned into loft apartments and business offices.
The 17,000 square foot Leonard Home Laundry will keep two of its original facades. The 1922 building is on the city's inventory of historic sites and structures.
The residential part of the building will be turned into four two-bedroom lofts renting for about $1,200 a month. That phase is to be completed in August.
The front portion of the building will be renovated into commercial and office space.
Workers have already removed 18 tons of metal and steel from the building, including its old sprinkler system.
