(ORLEANS) - Indiana State Police are investigating a murder-suicide that occurred in Orleans Thursday.
Police began a criminal investigation after a family member discovered the bodies of 80-year-old Lee Webb and 84-year-old Avis Webb in their Maple Street residence.
Police determined that Lee Webb used a 16 gauge shotgun to kill his wife while she was sitting in a recliner. He then turned the shotgun on himself taking his own life early Thursday morning.
Police from the Orange County Sheriff's Department and the Orleans Police Department are assisting State Police in the investigation.
