(DAVIESS COUNTY) - Daviess County authorities are investigating the shooting death of an Epson man whose wife is being treated for a life-threatening shotgun wound.
54-year-old Gerald Rollins was pronounced dead in his home while his wife, 46-year-old Wanda Rollins, was flown to Indianapolis for treatment.
Officers with the Daviess County Sheriff's Department say they are not searching for anyone. No individuals have been arrested.
Wanda Rollins' son, 26-year-old Brett Carpenter, called for an ambulance from the scene saying his mother had been shot and that another man was shot and possibly dead.
Four young children were in the home at the time. They have all been released to family members.
Deputies are interviewing Wanda Rollins and Carpenter. The investigation may take several weeks.
