(BLOOMINGTON) - A memorial fund established in the name of late Purdue freshman Wade Steffey will award scholarships to four students from Bloomington.
Two seniors each from Bloomington High School South and Bloomington North will get one thousand dollars apiece in Steffey's name. Applicants will have to submit an essay of up to two pages on the topic of what friendship means to them.
Steffey's parents have retained the services of a lawyer but have not yet decided if they'll sue Purdue for negligence in their son's death.
