(BEDFORD) - Indiana Conservation officers have recovered a body from Salt Creek believed to be that of missing Bedford resident Opal Cobb.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources spokesman Mark Farmer says the body was spotted caught in a pile of driftwood near the creek's edge. The body was discovered about 12 miles downstream from where Cobb may have unintentionally fallen in on April 16th.
An autopsy will be conducted this afternoon at the Lawrence County Coroner's office.
