(BEDFORD) - Tim Ray of Williams is asking the Lawrence County Commissioners to consider building a memorial park for his son who was killed in a tornado that ripped through the area in the summer of 1990.
Williams was asking for a building that would feature pictures of his son, pictures of the 1990 tornado and displays on ways to avoid being a victim of tornadoes.
The board told Ray that there were no parks in Lawrence County now and there were no immediate plans to build one.
Ray asked the board to possibly consider one for a later date.
