(BEDFORD) - Primary Election day in Indiana is tomorrow. Candidates in Bedford and Mitchell have been promoting themselves with advertising, personal appearances and the ever popular yard signs.
Voters will have from 6:00AM to 6:00PM Tuesday to cast their choices. For those who are unable to vote tomorrow, you can vote absentee today. The Lawrence County Voter Registration office in Bedford will be open today from 8:30AM until 12:00 Noon.
Mayoral races in both Bedford and Mitchell will be contested. Jack Butterfield, Joe D. Klumpp, Sam Shaw, Johnathan Srygler and Jean Williams are looking to win the Republican nod, while Al Craig and Tony VanPelt are looking for the Democratic slot.
In Mitchell, Billy Carlisle, Barry Duncan and Dan Terrell are listed for Republican mayor. James Brown, Butch Chastain and Jason Delaney are listed for Democratic mayor.
Other races for the Primary Election include the Clerk Treasurer race. Julie Blackwell-Chase-Brinegar is looking to become the Bedford City clerk/treasurer. Donna Brumbaugh is the incumbent clerk/treasurer and is also running.
For the Bedford City Council seats, incumbent Brandi Kimble Hughes and Don Goldsberry are running for District 2, Cyle Beekman and Chris Mullis for District 4.
In Mitchell, Kenny Allen and Rosemary Brewer are vying for the District 1 seat.
