(BEDFORD) - A new playground is being planned on 16th Street just east of the Bedford Regional Medical Center.
Natasha Johns with the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association is heading the construction and says the new playground will cost around $60,000.
Johns says construction on the playground will begin on August 4th. A walking trail will be an added feature of the playground.
A Benefit Concert is planned to raise money for the facility. The concert will be held on June 23rd. Johns says they have a few acts lined up including Joanna Cobb, Deb Doyle, Brandon Pfeiffer, plus a few other bands.
You can purchase tickets for the benefit concert by calling the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association office in Bedford.
