(BEDFORD) - Last week the Visteon Corporation informed its nearly 700 Bedford employees of the tentative closure of the plant.
According to Corporate Communications Director Jim Fisher, the next step is to begin discussions with the union regarding the decision and then the effects of the decision, including any severance provisions. Specifics will be discussed with the union.
Fisher says Visteon is committed to helping ensure a smooth transition for employees.
The tentative closing date for the Bedford Visteon plant is in April of 2008.
