Police say 57-year-old Jean Chinn, of Bedford, did not see 71-year-old Elizabeth Brown, also of Bedford, at the intersection and pulled into the path of Brown's vehicle.
Brown said she couldn't avoid hitting Chinn's auto. The force of the impact threw both automobiles into nearby fields.
Chinn complained of chest pain following the accident. Her passengers, 9-year-old Nathan Walter, of Bedford, and 7-year-old Bryce Chinn suffered head contusions and bruises. Three-year-old Kendra Chinn complained of head pain.
Brown suffered a fractured elbow in the incident.
Chinn was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
