(BEDFORD) - The threat of thunderstorms canceled the July 4th fireworks last night at the Parkview Football Field.
The skies over Bedford remained dark despite a day of community events during the Limestone Heritage Festival.
Limestone Heritage Festival Coordinator Susan Gales conferred with fireworks planners last night and decided to postpone the show until this Friday.
The fireworks show will still take place at the Parkview Elementary Football field. The new time is now between 9:30PM and 10:00PM. There will be live music and food vendors will set up at 6:00PM. The carrying of the flag will be part of the ceremonies. Kids are reminded to bring flashlights to shine underneath the flag.
On Wednesday, Bedford residents were treated to parade units composed of floats, bands, horses, vintage cars and political figures as well as an ice cream social yesterday afternoon and concerts throughout the day.
