(BEDFORD) - Jim Hudelson with the Lawrence County Farm Service Agency is telling farmers and others interested that early haying and grazing has been authorized by the Farm Service Agency office in Washington D.C.
The authorization covers all of Lawrence County, and Jackson and Jennings counties as well.
According to Hudelson, the severely depleted forage stocks prompted the sanction. Hudelson says nearly 8,000 acres may qualify for the haying and grazing.
Hudelson notes that before beginning haying and grazing a producer must get approval at their local office.
