(CORTLAND) - Jackson County police continue to look for a man who is accused of shooting at an officer.
The officer was not injured in the incident that occurred in the Cortland area.
Police are searching for a black male approximately 6-feet tall and 200 pounds wearing red shorts and a black t-shirt.
Police say the suspect shot officer Adam Nicholson after he stopped to check in the man as he walked along a rural road.
