(ORANGE COUNTY) - Eight people from the Orange County area were arrested over the weekend on various drug charges.
Indiana State Police, along with the Orange County Sheriff's Department, the French Lick and West Baden police departments spent two months gathering information after receiving information on the illegal drug activity.
Early Saturday morning, police went to various residences with arrest warrants in Orange County. Arrested in the sweep were 26-year-old John Jackson, 25-year-old Todd Bolin, 25-year-old Erika Akers, 23-year-old Ryan Akers, 25-year-old Justin Flick and 40-year-old Dominia Gomez Ward, all of French Lick.
41-year-old Charles Chatman, Jr., of West Baden, and 23-year-old Jennifer Tirey, of Mitchell, were also arrested.
Charges included possession of marijuana under 30 grams, dealing in cocaine, maintaining a common nuisance and criminal mischief.
All individuals were taken to the Orange County Jail. All are being held on bond. More arrested are forthcoming.
