(WASHINGTON) - An Indiana State Trooper and five other people were injured when a semi sideswiped the trooper’s patrol car as it was parked on the side of the road.
Senior Trooper Gavin Wilson was sitting in his cruiser along U.S. 50 near Washington when it was sideswiped by the semi.
The crash sent his patrol car into the car parked in front of him, where five people were waiting.
Both vehicles were totaled, but Wilson and the five people in the other car sustained only minor injures. All were treated and released from area hospitals.
Police cited the truck driver for failing to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle.
