(BEDFORD) - Bedford Urban Enterprise Association Interim Director Natasha Johns is collecting donations for the Edgewood Park Playground near the Bedford Regional Medical Center and the Sycamore Park Playground at 8th and “T” Streets near John Williams Boulevard.
Johns says the organization still needs about $43,000 for the Edgewood Park and about $8,000 for the Sycamore Park.
The Lawrence County Community Foundation has given BUEA a total of $10,000 for both playgrounds. A thousand dollars has been given by Beulher's Foods and the Bedford Federal Saving Bank.
BUEA plans to build the playgrounds on Saturday and Sunday, August 4th and 5th.
Johns says you can call the Bedford Urban Enterprise Association office if you'd like to donate or participate in the playground builds.
