(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teen was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way as she was attempting to turn into the Budget Inn Motel.
The motel is located off of Mitchell Road, just south of 28th Street in Bedford. Police say 19-year-old Kelby Root was waiting to turn into the parking lot when she ran into the side of 39-year-old Kimberly Fults' auto.
An ambulance was called to the scene to take care of Root who was complaining of leg pain. Fults complained of neck pain and was trapped in her vehicle for a period time. The Bedford Fire Department was called to free her from the wreckage. After being removed, Fults was checked by the fire personnel.
Fire personnel also cleaned up the debris from the wreck. Damage to both vehicles was estimated to be between $5,000 and $10,000.
