(INDIANAPOLIS) - Bedford’s own David Lee, a local farmer, was honored with a 2007 River Friendly Farmer Award at the Indiana State Fair.
Being a River Friendly Farmer means using such methods as no-till farming, water and sediment control basins and other practices to help reduce soil erosion and water pollution to help protect wildlife.
The goal of the award is to protect Indiana's natural resources for the benefit of not only their family farm, but for future generations of farmers and Hoosiers in general.
