(BEDFORD) - The seven member panel of the Lawrence County Council began the arduous task of adjusting the county’s budget for 2008.
The council met last night in the county courthouse and heard from the likes of the recorder, coroner, prosecutor, treasurer, county assessors and commissioners. Other departments will offer their suggestions through the month of August.
The adoption of the nearly $25-million budget will be held on September 18th. One of the board members says they will squeeze the nickel until "you know what" comes out of the buffalo.
