Pandemic Flu Tabletop Exercise Held For Area Schools

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Health Department along with Purdue University held a tabletop exercise Wednesday on a possible pandemic flu outbreak.

Lawrence County Public Health Department Coordinator Allison Moore says the exercise focused on schools in the area.

Moore says the exercise helped coordinate the schools and how to pass along information and the best way to close and reopen the schools during a possible outbreak.

Moore then notes that the threat of a pandemic flu outbreak in Indiana and the United States is still a major threat despite a lack of information to the public.
