(BLOOMINGTON) - Authorities now believe the pilot of a single-engine plane was trying to make an emergency landing when it crashed in a cornfield near Bloomington.
The plane came to an upside-down stop Wednesday night near the Monroe County Airport, but the pilot suffered only minor injuries.
There were no other passengers aboard the plane.
