(BEDFORD) - Bedford police broke up a drinking party at an apartment on 16th Street in the early morning hours. Five of the six arrested were underage.
Police were called to a fight and found 19-year-old Timothy Helton, of Springville, on the floor breathing but not responsive. After being treated, he was charged with illegal consumption and found to have a warrant from Illinois for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia and reckless possession of a stolen vehicle.
A 16-year-old female was caught drinking at the party and was charged with illegal consumption. She was handed over to her parents with a promise to appear in court at a later date. Three others, 19-year-olds Brent Knapp and Ryan Morris and 20-year-old Eugene Baer, III, all of Bedford, were given illegal consumption charges.
22-year-old Tracy Gist, of Bedford, received a warrant with a petition to revoke out of Lawrence County.
Police learned of the disturbance by a call from a neighbor in a nearby apartment.
